Apresentação
Paulo Henrique Martins’ book Critical Theory of Coloniality, published in Portuguese in 2019 by Ateliê de Humanidades Editorial, now has its English edition by Routledge. Launched this April, Critical Theory of Coloniality reveals how critical social theory currently opens up to a pluriversal perspective constructed through a dialogue between the Global South and the Global North. The book argues that the construction of a Critical Theory of Coloniality (CCT) is based on the importance of theoretical and methodological pluralism in the context of the necessary redefinition of the directions of global society. It reveals a plural reflection of scientific, moral and aesthetic character in different areas of former planetary colonization such as Asia, Africa and America, but also on the borders of Europe.
